Last week, Diarimedico published “Inteligencia ambiental para controlar a dependientes” about Care Respite. The Computer Vision Centre (CVC) of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), the University of Barcelona (UB) and the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) in collaboration with the company ACCEPLAN, have created care Respite a system for monitoring dependent people.
It is a camera that collects image and depth data, computer vision software that detects automatically the person and their behaviour in the environment in which the camera is installed, and a mobile application connected to the system where the caregiver receives alarms and displays the behaviour of the dependent person.
