ESPAISTORY AT YOMO – Youth Mobile Festival

The Cognitive Media Technologies group of Universitat Pompeu Fabra in collaboration with the Computer Vision Center of Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, will present the project EspaiStory at YOMO – Youth Mobile Festival.

EspaiStory is a Mixed Reality system that allows children to create and interact with their own narratives in and on physical space. Children will use special mobile devices to project their characters and their stories on the surrounding physical space. They will also physically interact with their stories as if the characters were alive and present in the same shared space.

The project is based on a novel interaction paradigm, named “World-as-Support”, which merges and enhances the features of Augmented Reality and bodily based interaction.

If you wish to try this project, we will present it during 4 days (from February 27 to March 2)  as an interactive stand at YOMO, the Youth Mobile Festival in Fira Montjuic (Barcelona) within the Mobile World Congress.

This project is part of the research  “Evaluation-driven design framework for the development of Full-Body Interaction Learning Environments“,  supported by Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (TIN2014-60599-P)
