Candidate requirements:
Candidates must accredit that they hold university-awarded Masters degree or equivalent at the time of signing the contract (October 2015, anticipated). Candidates cannot already hold a doctoral degree.
Terms and conditions:
The duration of the position is 4 years (48 months). The funding for each contract will be of 20.500,00€ (minimum gross salary for each candidate: 16.422,00€). For those candidates defending their thesis during the 3rd year, the funding for the fourth year contract will be 25.000,00€ (minimum gross salary for each candidate: 19.000,00€). The grant includes 4.750€ funding for research stays carried out during the predoctoral stage and 1.500,00€ funding for PhD tuition fees. The foreseen starting date of the studies is October, 1st 2015.
Workplace
The successful candidate will join the research staff of the Computer Vision Centre (http://158.109.8.34/). The Computer Vision Centre (CVC) is an internationally renowned centre devoted to research and applications of computer vision. The CVC is home to over 120 staff members and PhD students, and is a member of the Catalan Association of Research Centres (CERCA) and one of the recognised centres TECNIO of the Catalan government.
